Article Abstract:
The structures of Mu A, a tetramer of the transposase at 16-angstroms and the Type 1 transpososome at 34-angstroms resolution, by 3D reconstruction of images obtained by scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) at crypo-temperatures is reported. The reports show that the transpososome fits well with the accumulated biochemical literature for Mu DNA transposition system, and lays structural foundations for biochemical function.

Article Abstract:
The analysis of various properties of the substrate, DNA methyltransferase-2 (DNMT2) reveals that the morpholino knockdown of Dnmt2 protein leads to the promotion of liver, brain and retina development in zebrafish. The results indicate that Dnmt2 activity in the cytoplasm is a very important phenomenon for proper organ differentiation, as it highly promotes zebrafish development through the cytoplasmic RNA methylation.

Article Abstract:
Extensive degradation and loss of essential genes can be efficiently prevented through a little-studied mechanism of DNA double-strand -break repair, in which short DNA palindromes induce formation of large DNA palindromes. Large palindromes form as natural consequence of post senescence growth and become essential for immortalization in the absence of telomerase activity.
