The issue relating to the Australian superannuation system that would generate adequate retirement income for the Australian population is presented. However, a report commissioned by CPA Australia suggests that an increase in the employer superannuation contributions or reducing tax on super would have a marked impact on benefits available at retirement and hence on people's living standards in retirement.
