Society services in Asia: reaching out to members

Article Abstract:

The economic difficulties in Asia have not had a deleterious effect on the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants' Asian Division. Membership continues to increased at least 12% annually with many young people joining to take advantage of the learning and management opportunities within the organization.

There are several new services for members of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants. A new partnership with American Express includes free membership in the American Express Member Rewards program. A goods and services tax electronic subscription service is also available for members.

New credit card program - member benefits

Article Abstract:

The Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants has established a new credit card program with American Express which goes into effect on Sep 20, 1999. Benefits include a branded credit card, a credit line of at least $10,000 Australian and fee waivers for the first year.
