Australian company Stockford Ltd acquired more than 45 accounting and other business and finance-related firms, for approximately $A1-$A6 million per firm, in an attempt to become the largest consolidator in the country. A competitor, Tasman Group, is in the process of acquiring small and medium-sized firms for a total of $A50 million.
