CPAs clean up with new television ads

Article Abstract:

"Bob the cleaner" is a new Australian Society of Chartered Public Accountants (CPA) television commercial. The message of the commercial is that Bob's business is thriving and his accountant will help him achieve his business goals. A series of CPA press and television advertisements will run through then end of 1999.

CPAs account for the public sector

Article Abstract:

In response to public demand, CPA Australia has created an accounting diploma for public sector employees who work in relevant areas of business. The approximately two-year diploma is made up of eight learning modules, and a compulsory project that will be conducted for three months in the workplace.

The high degree of media coverage given to Australian certified accountants as a result of new tax legislation is discussed. Research into the level and type of exposure in broadcast and print media is summarized.
