CPA mentor: program goes abroad

Article Abstract:

The mentor program developed around eight identified fields of work of the profession ensures that all associates gain the same skills and knowledge during the first three years of employment. Throughout the program the enrollee must collect documentary evidence of their experience and exposure to competencies in their chosen fields of work.

The legal and ethical issues related to accounting practice are discussed. The issue relates to an instance wherein the accountant holds back the tax return beyond lodgement deadline anticipating an assessment and client refuses to pay the bill until the return is lodged.
