Article Abstract:
The reason for the best client relationship that can fall apart is the problems that arise at the negotiating table and discussions. The solutions for avoiding such problems is to develop high levels of trust and communication where effective business relationships are concerned with ongoing demonstration of trust and predictability, which must be negotiated at every interaction between client and adviser.

The efforts by the Australian Red Cross (ARC) for regaining the trust of the Australian public in the face of public battering on its management of funds in the Bali Assistance Appeal launched in October 2002 are discussed. The findings of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) audit of the Bali Appeal and the areas where the ARC can improve are highlighted.
