A survey of over 180 fund managers in six financial centres around the world, is conducted by Mercer Investment Consulting to assess expectations for key financial markets in 2003. The names of the members that appeared on the 2003 Australia Day honours list are mentioned.

A new way of understanding investors behaviour uses insights from cognitive science, behavioural finance questions, the efficiency of markets and the rationality of investors. Behavioural finance believes that investors can be infected with contagious thoughts.
