Zora Arkus-Duntov: death has claimed Mr. Corvette

Zora Arkus-Duntov's accomplishments in automotive engineering included innovations in overhead valves, camshafts and fuel injection. He was best known for his involvement with the Chevrolet Corvette. He was named chief engineer for the Corvette in 1968.

Duntov and Dr. Porsche

Article Abstract:

Zora Arkus-Duntov was a principal designer of Porsche cars. He was the one who taught Porsche engineers how to make their cars handle correctly. Moreover, it was he who recommended that all Porsche 356s have a front anti-roll bar.

Vicar of the Vette

Article Abstract:

Zorus Arkus-Duntov was an automotive engineer at Chevrolet whose brilliance and persistence were responsible for transforming the Corvette into a marketing and engineering success. He died at the age of 86 on Apr 21, 1996.
