Willy T. Ribbs has worked hard at becoming an automobile racing driver since the 1970s, beginning his career in England and then returning to the US. In 1991, he became the first African-American to qualify for the Indianapolis 500, and for the 1993 season he has acquired a major sponsor.

Both Michael Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi would seem to be hard to beat in the 1992 IndyCar World Series. Fittipaldi won the opening round in Surfers Paradise, Australia. That race, and Fittipaldi's career are discussed.
