Radical changes in the Indianapolis 500 has changed the race's overall climate. Indy's new rules has caused the absence of those drivers and car owners who gave the Indy the unique character which suffused not only the race track but pervaded even the motel that is home to Indy visitors.

A towering opportunity: Lime Rock gets an artful Start/Finish tower

Article Abstract:

The design of a new Start/Finish tower for the Lime Rock Park race track in Connecticut is described. The project, which Michelin agreed to sponsor in Sep 1997, came with the condition that the tower be completed by the 1998 Memorial Day weekend.

Wind wagon

Article Abstract:

The wind wagon was a wacky and wonderful machine created by Teddy to fulfill his dream of building a plane. The wind wagon tested for road racing had a propeller and a V-twin engine and was revived after seventy years.
