We test 11 of the big names in street tires

Article Abstract:

Eleven high-performance tires including Kumho Ecsta MX, Continental ContiSportContact 2 and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 are tested in terms of wet breaking, dry breaking and grip. The Goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3 is found to be the best as it is the best performer in all the three wet-track tests as well as in dry track generating 0.94 g on the dry skid pad and held onto the wet track with 0.82 g of stick.

The Praxis air-suspension system developed by Bridgestone/Firestone Vehicle Systems available in the last-generation BMW 3-series and the current Sabura Impreza could be installed by a weekend mechanic as all the parts are designed to bolt in place. Praxis includes air springs, shocks, an air compressor, an air pump, fittings, and a bunch of brackets, sensors, and controllers.

A sports car without compromises

A road test is conducted on the new Audi S4 Quattro Cabriolet to assess its performance. The V-8-powered convertible with 340 bhp power, 302 lb-ft torque and a top speed of 162 mph, is found to be a sturdy, family car.
