Article Abstract:

Results of the comparison of the road test performance of five cars available at $25,000 with reference to speed, wheelbase, engine, torque, displacement, transmission, power and suspension are presented. The cars include Acura RSX Type-S, Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged, Dodge SRT4 ACR, Saturn Ion Red Line and Subaru Impreza WRX of which the Acura RSX Type-S proves to be the best.

A road test is conducted on the Chevrolet Malibu MAXX LT to assess its performance. With a 220 lb-ft torque, 200 bhp power and a top speed of 107mph and the door openings four inches wider than the Malibu sedan's, it is concluded to be a mainstream mid-size sedan with a practical and clever hatch.
