Article Abstract:

Villeneuve won convincingly at the 1996 Grand Prix held in Nurburgring, Germany. It was only his fourth Formula 1 race, and he beat second-place winner Michael Schumacher. Damon Hill, who is favored for the title crown, took first place at the San Marino Grand Prix.

Article Abstract:

Villeneuve is the amazing newcomer who would have won the 1996 World Championship at Melbourne, Australia, if it were not for a loss of oil pressure. His teammate Damon Hill followed through and picked up his 14th Grand Prix victory.

Article Abstract:

Jimmy Vasser won the 1996 Indy Car of Australia in his Target/Chip Ganassi Racing Reynard-Honda. Vasser also win the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, beating favorite Gil de Ferran when a hose blew off Ferran's car.
