Toyota Prius race car

Article Abstract:

A test drive of Toyota's new Prius at the Higashifuji proving ground in 2003 is described. Toyota expects to sell 300,000 hybrid vehicles worldwide by 2005 and hence it built three Prius race cars with the help of Toyota Racing Development, which runs all the company's Japanese race cars, with the Prius being the first 'race car' ever that can be run in a short 15-to-20 minute sprint race.

Lexus takes aim at the BMW 3-series, again

Lexus has introduced its new redesigned IS series based on the Japanese-spec Toyota Crown platform available in two engines. The new IS mixes Lexus tradition with sharp cut-lines and is slightly larger in every dimension and with a wheelbase longer by 2.4 inches.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX wagon: A new species of wagon discovered in Japan

Mitsubishi has introduced its new Lancer Evolution IX wagon, a five-door family car version of the ultra-high-performance Evo IX sedan. The new car priced at $28,500 features a power of 286bhp, wheelbase of 103.3 inches and displacement of 122 cubic inches.
