Porsche has designed a road version of the 911 GT1 race car. At its market price, the road GT1 could certainly afford to be much more comfortable and quieter at the same performance level but Porsche's intention was to create an illusion of actual racing experience for buyers.

Franco & American racers: the Clio Trophy & Mustang Cobra R

Article Abstract:

Renault will replace the Renault Sports Spider with the Clio Trophy V-6 in the 1999 Renault Sport Trophy races. Meanwhile, Ford will resurrect its Mustang Cobra R for the 2000 model year. Sale of the Cobra R V-8 is scheduled to start in the early part of the year.

Milan to Monte Carlo: Dodge Viper in Europe

Article Abstract:

Driving a Dodge Viper from Milan, Italy, to Monte Carlo, Monaco, proved to be an interesting and exciting trip as the Viper reached 155 mph on the autostrada and easily negotiated alpine passes. The car also provided impressive passing power and braking ability.
