Gasoline-powered miniature race cars became a national fad during the late 1930s. Considered primitive by modern standards, these cars are now much valued today by collectors who pay as much as $30,000 for rare specimens. A brief history of the hobby is presented.

Honda turns green

Article Abstract:

Honda Motor Company Ltd will end its participation in Formula 1 competitions, so that its engineers can design more environmentally sensitive products. Emissions controls, alternative fuel powerplants and other products will be developed.

The National Motorists Association is one of a few groups which represent automobile drivers. The NMA recently staged acts of civil disobedience in New York, NY, and Los Angeles, CA, protesting against 55 mph speed limits.
