The history and tradition of the Le Mans racing event in France remains undiminished. The first race took place in 1923. There are a number of attractions that are associated with the race, including museums and restaurants.

A humorous evaluation compares the Dodge Intrepid as a museum with the USS Intrepid, which was turned into a museum in 1976. The Dodge Intrepid was decorated with miniature jet planes to mimic the aircraft carrier.
