The new 2007 BMW M6 is a shortened, two-door version of the upcoming four-door M5 and shares many of its internal organs with the M5. The new car is priced at $90,000 and features engine power of 500 bhp, torque of 383 lb-ft at 6100 rpm, 109.5 inches wheelbase and 7-speed manual with automated shifting and clutch transmission.

The M5 that has much adjustability includes two levels of power-steering assist, light and heavy that change depending on which damper setting one chooses. There is a new transmission, the third generation of BMW's sequential mutual gearbox that takes lessons from Formula 1 and applies them to the M5.
