Article Abstract:

BMW organized an indoor symposium at Villa Erba, called 1950s' Design with a panel of well-known people in the art business. A few cynics among the gathered press suggested that BMW had put this design conference together as an elaborate defense of the company' controversial styling trends but it was intended to be a discussion on the enduring influence of 1950s'ideas and the 50th anniversary celebration of BMW' 507 sports car and the Isetta.

A mechanic and repair shop owner evaluates his collection of motor vehicles which include a 1987 Reynard Formula Continental, a 1964 Mach 1 Ducati 250 motorcycle, and a 1963 Cadillac. His evaluation made him decide to sell some of the models in what was known as the 'Great Springtime Garage Massacre.'
