Slot Cars come of age

Article Abstract:

Model-car racing has become very popular worldwide and the model-cars are as perfectly detailed as the best die-cast models and are just 1/32 the size of the real cars. The plastic tracks snap together to create the Indianapolis F1 track one month and Daytona or Sebring the next and all have lap counters and timers so as to keep track of which car won.

Cars celebres: a Pennsylvania concours showcases classic autos of famous past owners

Article Abstract:

The third annual Concours d'Elegance of the Eastern US was held on May 16, 1992. The informal competition featured about 80 automobiles that have been owned or associated with some famous person or event. Photographs and descriptions of some of the winners are presented.
