Article Abstract:

The Mercedes-Benz Gullwing SL300 was one of the few truly great cars that defined glamour, speed and a return to better times in the occasionally dreary atmosphere of post-World War II Europe. An account of the 50th anniversary celebrations of MercedesE SL-Series is presented, where guests of honor included Pablo PicassoEs son, Duncan, and photographer David Douglas Duncan, who popularized Gullwings in a 1956 magazine article titled 'Ghosts of Sindelfingen'.

Article Abstract:

A road test that is done for seven reasonably muscular cars with six cylinders which are Audi A6 3.0 Quattro, BMW 530i, Cadillac CTS, Chrysler 300, Jaguar S-type, Mercedes-Benz E320 and the Volvo S80 T6 is presented. Cadillac CTS has turned out to be a leader in the test since it has exceptional performance and is comparatively reasonably priced in this range of cars.

The road to Sebring

A trip to Sebring in a classic Panoz's sports car to watch a 12-hour car race is described. This GTLM version of Panoz, priced at $121,325, features the longer and lower aerodynamic bodywork developed for racing with a 420-bhp using a 6-speed Tremec T56 transmission.
