Carroll Shelby builds Cobra cars from the original parts as far as possible and substitutes upgraded and stronger material where necessary. A number of replicas are being made, but Shelby feels the original Cobra is the best. The price of a Shelby-built Cobra is $500,000.

The Ford GT-40 Mark IV won in the two races that it had only competed, the Sebring Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. One of the race drivers of the victorious GT-40 recounted the details of these events.
