Article Abstract:

George and Todd Bowland, using their Solo II A-Modified vacuum-equipped special, won the best-cornering competition, sponsored by The Tire Rack and the Sports Car Club of America. Finishing in second place were Bill Gendron and Soter Slomski with their Solo II B-Modified vacuum-equipped LeGrand.

Renspeed RS125 shifter kart

Article Abstract:

A Renspeed RS125 shifter kart driven by owner Dave Jenkins was tested for performance. The shifter kart was equipped with a 125-cc Yamaha engine and gearboxes. Gear-shifting and acceleration were easy for the kart which had a maximum speed of 71 mph and priced at $7995.
