Article Abstract:

Danica Patrick, a 23-year-old woman driver won 4th place in her fifth Indycar race and she is placed higher than any other woman driver was ever placed due to her 100 lb lighter frame. The argument raised by many racers on the weight issue of IRL has forced IRL to change its rules that includes road races where acceleration and braking come into play, perhaps some adjustments to the weight rules are in order.

Irate spectators watching US Grand Prix 2005 sued Michelin, seven Formula 1 teams with 14 cars who refused to race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway refused, citing safety concerns with their Michelin tires. Michelin has offered to refund the spectator's ticket costs and to purchase 20,000 tickets to 2006's events for people who attended this event.

Thunder over Monterey: Can-Am cars, Porsches, stock cars, FIA racers and a Mini Trophy

Article Abstract:

The Formula 1 race that took place in Monterey 1974 was dominated mainly by Can-Am Lolas, McLarens, Ferraris, Porsches, Fords, Chaparrals and Shadows which would go very fast. The race had certain rules and restrictions but there was no limit on the size of the engine, torque and horsepower.
