Alessandro won the 1997 US 500 the Michigan International Speedway with a 31.7 sec. lead over runner-up Mark Blundell. The victory came two weeks after he won at the Medic Drug Grand Prix in Cleveland, OH.

Strother MacMinn: April 29, 1918-January 19, 1998

Article Abstract:

Strother MacMinn designed automobiles, and wrote and taught automotive design. He had worked for Ford Motor Co before moving to Pasadena, CA, where he taught at the Art Center College of Design.
