Missing thunder

Article Abstract:

Thirty years of June Sprints at the Road America race track in Elkhart Lake, WI, are discussed. There have been many changes at the track, some good and some bad. The Sunday admission price has gone from $3.50 to $20, and there is a notable absence of thundercars, such as Corvettes.

Article Abstract:

Racing driver Denny Hulme was invited to drive a restoration of a McLaren M8F Can-Am car in the 1992 Chicago Historic Races at the Road America track in Elkhart Lake, WI. Meeting Hulme, the work on the car, the testing of the car and the race itself are described.
