Lingenfelter Performance Engineering offers two turbo engine packages to increase the performance of C5 Chevrolet Corvettes. The engine packages are available as Stage 1 and Stage II, and installing the packages can be somewhat tricky, as there is not much space in the engine compartment to be adding parts. The engines can cost as much as about $30,000 extra. The car's performance is compared with similar sports cars.

The Corvette Ski Boat from Malibu Boats bests the Corvette LT4 in accelerating 0-20mph but falls far behind in accelerating 0-60mph. The LT4's stopping performance is much better than that of the Ski Boat, while cornering was very close.
