The 1998 North American leg of the FIA GT Championship in car racing reflects the earlier thrill generated by such contests between automakers. Many people came to the races. This should indicate to race organizers that people are keen on seeing old fashioned racing.

Steve Dinan of Bavarian Performance, a BMW tuning shop, tunes and modifies suspension on BMW cars, treating each model differently. The results are slightly faster and more stable automobiles. A modified BMW 535i Turbo and a BMW M5 are test driven and discussed.
