Hydrogen is abundant and clean, but is it tomorrow's motor fuel?

Article Abstract:

It is entirely possible that hydrogen may play an important part in fueling motors of the future. There are a number of hydrogen-as-fuel research projects being conducted in the US, Europe and Japan, and cars and vans are already being fueled by hydrogen on an experimental basis.

ABS: putting a stop to it all

Article Abstract:

Four braking strategies, namely, anti-lock braking system (ABS), educated ABS, educated lock-up and lock -up have been tested in terms of braking distance on gravel, sand, snow and ice. The tests revealed that ABS works effectively on snow and ice, but not on gravel and sand.

The Gerodisc, a new type of differential, has limited slip and is speed-sensitive, and it has been successfully tested on an Indy race car. The Gerodisc, manufactured by Asha Corp, may be ideal either for four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive vehicles.
