Article Abstract:

Illinois has created an exceptionally effective reminder for work-zone speeds by introducing the ticket for the first-offense speeding in a construction zone with a $375 fine, the second offense is $1000 and a license suspension. The need was felt due to the increasing number of accidents on the work zone for which the state has also began using photo radar in work zones.

Article Abstract:

Britain and seven other European countries will soon introduce income-based fines for traffic and parking violations. A motorist earning less than $30,000 annually would pay a $75 fine, and a $100,000 earner would pay $385 for the same violation, under one proposal.
