The Car and Driver One Lap of America, a 4,300 contest over several of America's best race tracks, has become a serious race. Stock sports cars and souped-up wagons ares till welcome, but they will not win. The 1996 winner was a Mosler Intruder with a Lingenfelter small-block Chevy engine.
