The Lotus Esprit Turbo and the Acura NSX are similar in many ways, but have entirely different origins. The NSX was computer-engineered in the 1990s, while the Lotus has been built and refined since 1975. Testing results in no clear winner, but a choice of individual preferences.

Volvo 850 Turbo

The Volvo 850 Turbo, with an inline-5 engine, provides 225 bhp, or 57 more than the 850 GLT. In short, the 850 Turbo still is sturdy and roomy, in the Volvo tradition, but can come close to reaching 160 mph. The price of the Turbo sedan is about $30,000.

Hyundai Scoupe turbo

Article Abstract:

Hyundai designed its own engine and changed the front end of the 1993 Scoupe. The car handles well with its new engine and the turbo model costs less than $11,000.
