Article Abstract:

A race car fan describes the some of the late 1950's and early 1960's low-budget films such as the Hot Rod Girl that featured racecars and opened with period racing footage from the San Fernando Drag Strip. The movie featuring the only known actor Chuck Connors featured the world's most interminable quarter-mile run between a white 1955 T-Bird and a white Jaguar XK-120.

Racing with half your wheels gone

Article Abstract:

A man's interest in motorcycle racing was rekindled when he was invited to participate in a comparison test of 600-cc sportbikes. He had been racing sports cars for seven years when he started to race motorcycles in 1979. He gave up the latter in 1982. He compares car racing with motorcycle racing.

Driving a legend

Article Abstract:

The Legends cars are small-scale replicas of stock cars from the 1930s that are powered by Yamaha XJ-1200 motorcycle engines. Designed as affordable, entry-level circle-track racers, the cars are assembled by a Charlotte, NC-based company called '600 Racing.'
