Camaro & Mustang: new blood

Article Abstract:

The once-popular specialty cars, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, have lagged in both sales and development in recent years. But a revised Camaro is being planned for 1993, and a new Mustang for 1994. Development plans are discussed.

Cadillac's dilemma

The Cadillac Motor Car Div of General Motors Corp is releasing its last independently-produced cars, the 1994 De Ville and Concours. A planned reorganization at General Motors will call for a joint development of all luxury cars at a new division.

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp Chairman Robert Stempel has been replaced by John Smale, although President John Smith has been given responsibility for the whole corporation. Smith hopes to produce a leaner, more profitable operation.
