Millen plans to use nitrous oxide to realize his dream of being the first race car driver to break the 10-min barrier at Pike's Peak in Colorado. Nitrous oxide can boost an engine's power when injected into the combustion chambers with the right amount of extra fuel.

The Pikes Peak Hill Climb has been dominated by the Unser family, but this domination did not extend to the 1993 race. The winner of the 1993 race was Paul Dallenbach, who set a new course record, with Tajima Nobuhiro of Japan finishing second.

Toyota's triumph
