Three drivers broke the winning streak of Alex Zanardi during the 1998 CART/FedEx Championship Series. These are Greg Moore at the US 500 in Brooklyn, MI, Adrian Fernandez at the Miller Lit 200 in Lexington, OH, and Darlo Franchitti at the Texaco/Havoline 200 in Wisconsin.

Article Abstract:

Jimmy Vasser won the 1996 Indy Car of Australia in his Target/Chip Ganassi Racing Reynard-Honda. Vasser also win the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, beating favorite Gil de Ferran when a hose blew off Ferran's car.

Zanardi and Vasser win one for the Chipper

Article Abstract:

Zanardi grabbed the Apr 5, 1998 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach race on board his Reynard 98I-Honda. However, Vasser took the top position of the Bosch Spark Plug Grand Prix held in Nazareth, PA, on Apr 27, 1998.
