The 1998 Chevrolet Corvette is now optionally equipped with the Active Handling Chassis Control System which is available through an addition of $500. The Corvette's computer controls an individual brake at one wheel to correct either overturning or underturning thereby providing superb handling.

A comparison of Dodge Viper GTS and Chevrolet Corvette shows that the Viper has an excellent steering response but the Corvette is superior in terms of comfort. With a maximum speed of 170 mph, the Corvette, which is priced at approximately $45,000 is a better sports car buy.
