Article Abstract:

President Bush's January 2004 announcement of exploring outer space has led to many NASA officials thinking about big space vehicles to undertake these missions but experts advise caution and also want scientists to think in terms of smaller space crafts. Experts advise launching of several smaller spacecrafts instead of one big craft while others also want smaller companies to be allowed to participate in these missions.

Article Abstract:

The US President George W. Bush, in January 2004, unveiled the Vision for the US Space Exploration, calling the US return humans to the Moon before the year 2020, so that they would be better prepared to explore Mars and other destinations. The President's commission wants Congress to check out the property rights for those who want to develop space resources and infrastructure.

One nation, over regulated: Is ITAR stalling the new space race?

Article Abstract:

The US State Department, under a set of laws called International Traffic in Arms Regulation, regulates the export of weapons systems and related technologies included on the US Munitions List. ITAR also affects the US companies seeking launch business, such as launch vehicle startup Space Exploration Technologies.
