The need for a space frontier

Article Abstract:

American ingenuity is by far a result of the challenges of the western frontier. Now that the frontier has been conquered, US society is in danger of losing its adventurous spirit. Only the opening of a new frontier, outer space, can rekindle this waning spirit and catapult the US into the future.
