The National Space Society forum in preparation for Pres Clinton's Space Summit, which discussed Mars exploration and the future of the US space program. The discussion included presentations of unmanned missions to the planet and matters concerning how, why and when to send humans to Mars.

Return to the Moon: the second annual International Lunar Exploration Conference

Article Abstract:

The second annual National Space Society-sponsored International Lunar Exploration Conference was held in San Diego, CA, on November, 1995. The conference focused on what the government, aerospace industry, ordinary citizens and the academe could do to promote lunar exploration.

The International Lunar and Mars Exploration Conference held in San Diego, CA, Nov 1996, discussed human involvement in space, the possible uses of lunar bases and the possibilities of sending humans to Mars. Various sessions and papers presented are described.
