NASA conducts series of tests regarding preparations for life in space at the new Advanced Life Support Test Chamber in Johnson Space Center. Crew members to be sequestered in the test chamber talk about their views regarding the test and the processes of the test, among other issues.

Space tourism: getting beyond the giggle factor

Article Abstract:

A survey conducted by American Astronautical Society member Patrick Collins showed that an increasing number of Americans favor the concept of space tourism. Over 60% of those surveyed indicate a willingness to pay several months of salary for the opportunity to go into space.

Rediscovering the moon

Article Abstract:

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has submitted several proposals for continuing research on the moon. The lunar mapping missions were meant to search for resources that may be useful in establishing a research station on the moon.
