Article Abstract:

The missions aboard the space shuttles Columbia and Atlantis started the summer shuttle season for 1992. The June 25th Columbia mission, which lasted for 14 days, was considered as the longest recorded shuttle flight. Similarly, the Atlantis mission was also a success even though the Tethered Satellite System experiments were not fully accomplished.

Article Abstract:

The Orbiter Processing Facility hangar will be used for the seven-day flight of Discovery space shuttle. Meanwhile, 400 Kennedy Space Center employees have been laid off due to NASA budget cuts. About 300 of the employees are from Lockheed Space Operations Co.
