Article Abstract:

The study of the Aug 1996 claim of the discovery of alien lifeforms from a Martian meteorite has yielded positive results in terms of the presence of organic biomarkers, biominerals and native features. However, there is still need for more evidence in the areas of cells, colonies and geologic context.

Bring 'em back alive or at least carefully

Article Abstract:

The possibility of bringing back to Earth a replicating organism via samples collected from extraterrestrial sources has led NASA to adopt a cautious approach in dealing with such an event. The approach is aimed both at protecting the planet from contamination and keeping the samples pure.

Article Abstract:

Earth-based organisms that are capable of adapting to extreme environmental conditions that were formerly thought unfit for the existence of life are continuously being discovered. This development is expected to aid Earth scientists in their search for life elsewhere in the universe.
