McDonnell Douglas Corp. and Boeing Co. have joined together to build a new reusable launch vehicle designated as the X-33. The space vehicle is similar in design to NASA's DC-X Delta Clipper but only larger. NASA has allocated $800 million to the development of the vehicle.

The Delta Clipper-X is an unmanned single stage rocket prototype designed and built by McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Co. Plans for the Delta Clipper-X's 1993 flight tests are presented and discussed.
