Generation X-33 Boeing and McDonnell Douglas unveil the DC-X's big brother

McDonnell Douglas Corp. and Boeing Co. have joined together to build a new reusable launch vehicle designated as the X-33. The space vehicle is similar in design to NASA's DC-X Delta Clipper but only larger. NASA has allocated $800 million to the development of the vehicle.
