First man on the moon looks forward to others' return

Article Abstract:

Speaking at an awards function where he was awarded the National Space Trophy on March 11, 2004, Neil Armstrong the first man to set foot on the moon said that he was overwhelmed at having received the award and was especially thrilled at having received the award at the hands of Christopher Kraft with whom he had worked in the mid 1950s. Armstrong, speaking at length about the various achievements made in space exploration added that he looked forward to the proposed space exploration envisaged by President Bush but said that its success would depend on all agencies working together as one entity.

Faith and space exploration do mix

Article Abstract:

Several people believe that humanity requires faith along with sound engineering and good science for successful space missions, as it is an important part of what it means to be human. The removal of the religious perspective in space travel might be one of the most damaging, as religion is an important part of being human and denying it loses much of the sense of purpose.

Space: A moral vacuum?

Article Abstract:

The effects of the development of commercial space launch and habitat industries on human settlement and morals are reviewed. Though the Universe offers endless possibilities and new frontiers to humanity, the abundant resources of space should be used to decrease the environmental degradation of Earth and improve the global standard of living.
