Article Abstract:

International Space Year 1992 will close without much success in raising public consciousness about space issues, despite endorsements from the UN, US Congress and International Astronautical Federation. The National Space Society stresses the need to put more effort into public outreach and education.

Article Abstract:

The National Space Society will continue to lobby for the promotion of space research because it will be beneficial to the US economy. The space program is economically important because it will create new jobs, develop new products and promote the establishment of new companies.
