The National Space Society intends to seize the opportunities associated with the Clinton administration to promote its space agenda. This is partly to make up for the shortcomings of otherwise enlightened Republican stewardship of the US space program.

The US is on the verge of the full-scale industrialization of space. This commercialization depends on the private sector and this sector must be enticed by the government to do so.
