Article Abstract:

Challenger Center held its National Marsville Congress and Link-up last Aug 29, 1992 during the Assn of Space Explorers (ASE) 8th Planetary Congress. ASE members, along with 100 5th to 8th graders and 15 teachers in Washington, DC constructed model Mars colonies, among other activities.

Report from Marsville

Article Abstract:

More than 200 students from 20 New Jersey schools participated in a Challenger Center project about the human settlement of Mars. The Center evaluated this approach toward education and found it effective effective.

Article Abstract:

Most schools lack facilities for teaching space sciences to their students. Tips on how to utilize simple but cost effective means to incorporate this subject into a school's curriculum are presented and discussed.
