An exciting time at the Cape

One of the anticipated events at Cape Canaveral Air Station was the launch of the Cassini space probe, which is expected to do a scientific exploration of the planet Saturn. Launched on Oct 15, 1997, Cassini is expected to do an exploration of Venus and Jupiter before proceeding to Saturn's satellite, Titan.

Shuttle's summer successes

Article Abstract:

NASA successfully launched its Discovery and Atlantis space shuttles during the summer of 1995. The space shuttle Atlantis, which was launched on Jun. 27, 1995, carried two cosmonauts and docked with the Russian Mir space station.

When is it safe to fly?
